There are three tenses in English. They are present tense, past tense and future tense. In order to explain the completeness or incompleteness of the action, each of these three have been classified into the following four
forms.

The Four Forms of the Present Tense

Present Indefinite Tense

Where the verb shows that the action is simply operative.

Present Continuous Tense

Where the verb shows that the action is incomplete or continuous.

Present Perfect Tens

Where the verb shows that the action is finished. complete or perfect.

Present Perfect continuous Tense:

Where the verb shows that the action is going on contineously and not compled yet.

The Four Forms of the Past Tense

Past indefinite Tense

Where the verb shows an action was done in the past time.

Past Continuous Tense

Where the verb shows an action was still going on in the past time.

Past Perfect Tense
Where the verb shows an action was already completed in the past time before an other action started.

Past Perfect Continuous Tense

Where the verb shows an action was continuing for a definite period in the past time.

The Four Forms of the Future Tense

Future indefinite Tense

Where the verb shows an action is near or far off.

Future Continuous Tense

Where the verb shows an action will be going at a certain future time.

Future Perfect Tense

Where the verb shows an action will be completed at some future time.

Future Perfect Continuous Tense

Where the verb shows an action is going on before not finished in the future.

Use of Tense in Daily Life:

Tense plays very important role in our daily life, whatever we speak or write is because of tenses. we can neither speak nor write and even cannot communicate with each other or via any medium of internet or manual writing without keep the sequences and proper understandable sense of tenses.
